Ibn Abbas narrated that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) had bathed from major impurity. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came and performed ablution from the leftover water. She said: 'I bathed from it [while in a state of impurity].' He said: 'Indeed, water is not made impure by anything.'
