Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10625 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا ثنا فِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبَّاسٍ أَوْ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ قَوْمَكَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَمَلَ وَأَنَّهَا سُنَّةٌ قَالَ صَدَقُوا وَكَذَبُوا فَقَدْ رَمَلَ وَلَيْسَتْ بِسُنَّةٍ وَلَكِنْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأصْحَابُهُ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ عَلَى جَبَلِ قُعَيْقِعَانَ فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بِهِ هَزْلًا وَبِأَصْحَابِهِ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا لِيُرِيَهُمْ أَنَّ بِهِ قُوَّةً
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu al-Tufayl said: "I entered upon Ibn Abbas and said: 'O Ibn Abbas, your people claim that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed raml (walking briskly) and that it is a sunnah.' He said: 'They spoke the truth and they lied. He did perform raml, but it is not a permanent sunnah. Rather, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his Companions came, and the polytheists were on the mountain of Qu'ayqi'an. It reached him that they were saying he and his companions were weakened by exhaustion, so he commanded them to walk briskly to show them that they had strength.'"
