Al-Fudayl ibn 'Iyad said: "The bearer of the Quran carries the banner of Islam. He should not engage in idle talk with those who engage in idle talk, nor be heedless with those who are heedless, nor be frivolous with those who are frivolous, out of reverence for the Quran."
