وعن جابر رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "من خاف أن لا يقوم الليل فليوتر أوله، ومن طمع أن يقوم آخره، فليوتر آخر الليل، فإن صلاة آخر الليل مشهودة، وذلك أفضل". ((رواه مسلم)).
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him)reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "He who apprehends that he may not get up in the later part of the night, should observe the Witr prayer in the first part of it; and he who is certain to get up in the last part of it, he should observe Witr at the end of the night, because Salat at the end of the night is attended (by the angels), and that is better.".
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'جسے ڈر ہو کہ رات کے آخر میں نہیں اٹھ سکے گا وہ رات کے شروع میں وتر پڑھ لے، اور جسے امید ہو کہ رات کے آخر میں اٹھے گا وہ آخری رات میں وتر پڑھے، کیونکہ آخری رات کی نماز میں (فرشتے) حاضر ہوتے ہیں اور یہ افضل ہے۔'
