It is narrated that Hadrat 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abd Rabb Al-Kabah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: " I came to Hadrat 'Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As while he was sitting in the shade of Kabah, and the people were gathered around him, and I heard him say: 'While we were with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on a journey, we stopped to camp, and some of us were pitching tents, some were competing in shooting arrows, and some were taking the animals out to race them. Then the caller of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called out: As-Salatu Jamiah (prayer is about to begin). So we gathered, and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up and addressed us. He said: There has a never been a prophet before me who was not obliged to tell his nation of what he knew was good for them, and to warn against that he knew was bad for them. With regard to Ummah of yours, soundness (of religious commitment) has been placed in its earlier generations, and the last of them will be afflicted with calamities and things that you dislike. Then there will come tribulations which will make the earlier ones pale into significances, and the believer will say: This will be then end of me, then relief will come. Then (more) tribulations will come and the believer will say: this will be the end of me, then relief will come. Whoever would like to be taken far away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, let him die believing in Allah and the Last Day, and let him treat people as he would like to be treated. Whoever pledges to a ruler and gives him the grasp of his hand and the sincerity of his heart, the let him obey him as much as he can, and if another comes and challenges him, let them strike the neck of (i.e., kill) the second one."' He said: " I drew near to him and said: 'Did you hear the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say that? He 'Yes, and quoted the Hadith without interruption (in the chain)

حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن عبد رب الکعبہ فرماتے ہیں: میں حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کے پاس پہنچا جبکہ وہ کعبہ کے سائے میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے اور لوگ ان کے گرد جمع تھے۔ میں نے انہیں فرماتے سنا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں تھے کہ ہم ایک جگہ اترے، ہم میں سے کوئی اپنا خیمہ لگا رہا تھا، کوئی تیر اندازی کا مقابلہ کر رہا تھا اور کوئی اپنے جانوروں کے ساتھ تھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے منادی نے پکارا: نماز باجماعت! پس ہم جمع ہوئے اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور ہمیں خطبہ دیا۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھ سے پہلے کوئی نبی نہیں گزرا مگر اس پر لازم تھا کہ وہ اپنی امت کو وہ بات بتائے جو وہ جانتا ہو کہ ان کے لیے بہتر ہے اور انہیں اس سے ڈرائے جو وہ جانتا ہو کہ ان کے لیے برا ہے۔ اور تمہاری اس امت کی عافیت اس کے اوائل میں رکھی گئی ہے اور آخر میں آنے والوں کو آزمائشیں اور ناپسندیدہ امور پیش آئیں گے۔ فتنے آئیں گے جو ایک دوسرے کو ہلکا کر دیں گے، فتنہ آئے گا تو مومن کہے گا یہ مجھے ہلاک کر دے گا، پھر وہ ٹل جائے گا، پھر آئے گا تو کہے گا یہ مجھے ہلاک کر دے گا، پھر وہ ٹل جائے گا۔ تم میں سے جو شخص چاہے کہ اسے جہنم سے دور کیا جائے اور جنت میں داخل کیا جائے تو اسے چاہیے کہ اس کی موت اس حال میں آئے کہ وہ اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو، اور وہ لوگوں کے ساتھ وہی سلوک کرے جو وہ اپنے لیے چاہتا ہو۔ اور جس نے کسی امام سے بیعت کی اور اسے اپنے ہاتھ کا عہد اور دل کی خلوص دی تو اسے چاہیے کہ جتنا ہو سکے اس کی اطاعت کرے، پھر اگر کوئی دوسرا آ کر اس سے جھگڑا کرے تو دوسرے کی گردن مارو۔ میں ان کے قریب گیا اور کہا: کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے سنا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ہاں۔ اور حدیث بیان کی۔
