أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا مَعَ، مُطَرِّفٍ بِالْمِرْبَدِ إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مَعَهُ قِطْعَةُ أُدْمٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ لِي هَذِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَهَلْ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَقْرَأُ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنَا أَقْرَأُ فَإِذَا فِيهَا " مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِبَنِي زُهَيْرِ بْنِ أُقَيْشٍ أَنَّهُمْ إِنْ شَهِدُوا أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَفَارَقُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَأَقَرُّوا بِالْخُمُسِ فِي غَنَائِمِهِمْ وَسَهْمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَصَفِيِّهِ فَإِنَّهُمْ آمِنُونَ بِأَمَانِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ " .
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated that Hadrat Yazid bin Ash-Shikhkhir (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "While I was with Mutarrif in Al-Mirbad, a man came in carrying a piece of leather and said: 'This was written to me by the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Is there anyone among you who can read?' I said: 'I can read.' And it was (a letter) from Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to Banu Zuhair bin Uqaish, who had testified to Lailah illallah, and that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and had left the idolaters, and had agreed to give the Khumus from their spoils of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and wheatever he chose for himself, so they became safe and secure by the covenant of Allah and His Messenger
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت یزید بن شخّیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں مطرّف کے ساتھ مِربد میں تھا کہ ایک شخص آیا جس کے پاس چمڑے کا ایک ٹکڑا تھا۔ اس نے کہا: یہ میرے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لکھوایا ہے، کیا تم میں سے کوئی پڑھ سکتا ہے؟ میں نے کہا: میں پڑھ سکتا ہوں۔ تو اس میں لکھا تھا: محمد نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی طرف سے بنو زہیر بن اُقَیش کے نام، کہ اگر انہوں نے گواہی دی کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور محمد (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں، اور مشرکوں سے علیحدگی اختیار کی، اور اپنے مال غنیمت میں سے خمس اور نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے حصے اور صفی کا اقرار کیا، تو وہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے امان میں محفوظ ہیں۔
