It is narrated from Hadrat Mus'ab bin Sa'd that his father (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "On the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] granted amnesty to the people, except four men and two women. He said: 'Kill them, even if you find them clinging to the covers of Ka'bah.' (They were) 'Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl, 'Abdullah bin Khatal, Miqyas bin Subabah and 'Abdullah bin Sa'd bin Abi As-Sarh. 'Abdullah bin Khatl was caught while he was clinging to the covers of Ka'bah. Sa'eed bin Huraith and 'Ammar bin Yasir both rushed toward him, but Sa'eed, who was the younger of the two, got there before 'Ammar, and he killed him. Miqyas bin Subabah was caught by the people in the marketplace, and they killed him. 'Ikrimah traveled by sea, and he was caught in a storm. The crew of the ship said: 'Turn sincerely toward Allah, for your (false) gods cannot help you at all in this situation.' 'Ikrimah said: 'By Allah, if nothing came to save me at sea except sincerity toward Allah then nothing else will save me on land. O Allah, I promise You that if You save me from this predicament I will go to Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] and put my hand in his, and I am sure that I will find him generous and forgiving.' So he came, and accepted Islam. Hadrat 'Abdullah (bin Sa'd) bin Abi Sarh hid in the house of Hadrat 'Uthman bin 'Affan, and when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] called the people to give their Oath of Allegiance, he brought him, and made him stand before the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW]. He (Hadrat 'Uthman) said: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Accept the allegiance of Hadrat 'Abdullah.' He raised his head and looked at him three times, refusing his allegiance each time, then he accepted his allegiance after three times. Then he turned to his Companions and said: 'Was there not any sensible man among you who would get up when he saw me refusing to give him my hand and kill him?' They said: 'We did not know, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), what was in your heart. Why did you not gesture to us with your eyes?' He said: 'It is not befitting for a the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that his eyes be deceitful
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت مصعب بن سعد اپنے والد (حضرت سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ فتح مکہ کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سب لوگوں کو امان دے دی سوائے چار مردوں اور دو عورتوں کے، اور ارشاد فرمایا: انہیں قتل کر دو خواہ تم انہیں کعبہ کے پردوں سے لٹکا ہوا پاؤ۔ وہ عکرمہ بن ابو جہل، عبد اللہ بن خطل، مقیس بن صبابہ اور عبد اللہ بن سعد بن ابی سرح تھے۔ عبد اللہ بن خطل کعبہ کے پردوں سے لٹکا ہوا پایا گیا، سعید بن حریث اور حضرت عمار بن یاسر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اس کی طرف دوڑے، سعید عمار سے پہلے پہنچ گئے کیونکہ وہ دونوں میں زیادہ جوان تھے، پس انہوں نے اسے قتل کر دیا۔ مقیس بن صبابہ کو لوگوں نے بازار میں پکڑا اور اسے قتل کر دیا۔ عکرمہ سمندر میں سوار ہوا تو طوفان آ گیا، کشتی والوں نے کہا: اخلاص اختیار کرو کیونکہ تمہارے معبود یہاں تمہارے کچھ کام نہیں آ سکتے۔ عکرمہ نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! اگر سمندر میں مجھے اخلاص کے سوا کوئی چیز نجات نہیں دے سکتی تو خشکی میں بھی اس کے سوا کوئی چیز نجات نہیں دے سکتی۔ اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے عہد کرتا ہوں کہ اگر تو نے مجھے اس مصیبت سے نجات دی تو میں محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آؤں گا اور اپنا ہاتھ ان کے ہاتھ میں دوں گا اور میں انہیں ضرور معاف کرنے والا اور کریم پاؤں گا۔ پس وہ آیا اور اسلام قبول کیا۔ عبد اللہ بن سعد بن ابی سرح حضرت عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس چھپ گیا۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو بیعت کے لیے بلایا تو وہ اسے لے کر آئے اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سامنے کھڑا کیا۔ عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! عبد اللہ سے بیعت لے لیجیے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سر اٹھا کر تین مرتبہ اس کی طرف دیکھا، ہر مرتبہ انکار فرمایا، پھر تین مرتبہ کے بعد اس سے بیعت لے لی۔ پھر اپنے صحابہ کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر ارشاد فرمایا: کیا تم میں کوئی سمجھ دار آدمی نہ تھا جو کھڑا ہو جاتا جب اس نے دیکھا کہ میں نے اس سے بیعت لینے سے ہاتھ روک لیا ہے اور اسے قتل کر دیتا؟ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہمیں کیا معلوم تھا کہ آپ کے دل میں کیا ہے، آپ نے ہماری طرف آنکھ سے اشارہ کیوں نہ فرمایا؟ ارشاد فرمایا: نبی کے لیے مناسب نہیں کہ اس کی آنکھیں خیانت کریں۔
