أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَوْسًا، يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي وَفْدِ ثَقِيفٍ فَكُنْتُ مَعَهُ فِي قُبَّةٍ فَنَامَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْقُبَّةِ غَيْرِي وَغَيْرُهُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَارَّهُ فَقَالَ " اذْهَبْ فَاقْتُلْهُ " . فَقَالَ " أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ " . قَالَ يَشْهَدُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ذَرْهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا حَرُمَتْ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهَا " . قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَقُلْتُ لِشُعْبَةَ أَلَيْسَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ " أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ " . قَالَ أَظُنُّهَا مَعَهَا وَلاَ أَدْرِي .
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated that Hadrat An-Nu'man bin Salim (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I heard Aws say: 'I came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] among the delegation of Thaqif and I was with him in a tent. Everyone in the tent had gone to sleep except him and I. A man came and whispered to him, and he said: Go and kill him. Then he said: Does he not bear witness to La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah) and that I am the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)? He said: He does bear witness to that. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] said: Leave him alone. Then he said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah. If they say it, then their blood and their wealth become forbidden to me, except for a right that is due. (One of the narrators) Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: I said to Shu'bah: 'Doesn't the Hadith contain: Does he not testify to La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah) and that I am the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?' He said: 'I think it is both, but I do not know
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت نعمان بن سالم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے حضرت اوس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو فرماتے سنا: میں وفد ثقیف کے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور خیمے میں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھا۔ خیمے میں میرے اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سوا سب سو گئے۔ ایک شخص آیا اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سرگوشی کی۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جاؤ اسے قتل کرو۔ پھر فرمایا: کیا وہ لا الہ الا اللہ اور میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں کی گواہی نہیں دیتا؟ اس نے کہا: وہ گواہی دیتا ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اسے چھوڑ دو۔ پھر فرمایا: مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں لوگوں سے قتال کروں یہاں تک کہ وہ لا الہ الا اللہ کہیں۔ جب وہ کہہ دیں تو ان کے خون اور مال حرام ہو جائیں سوائے حق کے۔ (راوی) محمد کہتے ہیں: میں نے شعبہ سے پوچھا: کیا حدیث میں یہ نہیں ہے: کیا وہ لا الہ الا اللہ اور میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں کی گواہی نہیں دیتا؟ انہوں نے کہا: میرا خیال ہے یہ دونوں باتیں ہیں، لیکن مجھے یقین نہیں۔
