Narrated Ibrahim al-Taymi from his father: He said that 'Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon to us and said, "Whoever claims that we (that is, the people of the Household) have anything other than the Book of Allah and this scroll"—the narrator said that the scroll was hanging in the scabbard of his sword—"then he has lied. And in this scroll is the mention of the ages of camels (matters related to zakat) and some (rulings) about wounds (that is, the mention of retaliation and blood-monies). And in this scroll is also this: that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'The area of Medina from Mount 'Ayr to Mount Thawr is a sanctuary. So whoever introduces into Medina some innovation (that is, bid'a), or gives refuge to the one who introduces a new matter (that is, an innovator), then upon him is the curse of Allah the Exalted, and of the angels, and of all people. Allah the Exalted will accept from him neither any obligatory act nor any voluntary one. And the granting of protection by every Muslim is equal, for the protection granted by the lowliest Muslim is also to be honored. And whoever attributes himself as a son to anyone other than his father, or claims himself to be the slave of anyone other than his masters, then upon him too is the curse of Allah the Exalted, of the angels, and of all people, and Allah the Exalted will accept from him on the Day of Resurrection neither any obligatory act nor any voluntary one.'" (Here, by 'hadath' is meant any crime, and this (matter, that is, bid'a) is also included in it.)
اردو ترجمہ
ابراہیم تیمی اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہانہوں نے کہا کہ ہم پر سیدنا علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ نے خطبہ پڑھا اور کہا کہ جو کوئی دعویٰ کرے کہ ہمارے پاس (یعنی اہل بیت کے پاس) کتاب اللہ اور اس صحیفہ، راوی نے کہا کہ صحیفہ ان کی تلوار کے میان میں لٹکا ہوا تھا، کے سوا کوئی اور چیز ہے تو اس نے جھوٹ کہا اور اس صحیفہ میں اونٹوں کی عمروں (زکوٰۃ کے متعلقات) اور کچھ زخموں کا بیان ہے (یعنی قصاص اور دیتوں کا بیان) اور اس صحیفہ میں یہ بھی ہے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ مدینہ کا جبل عیر سے جبل ثور تک کا علاقہ حرم ہے۔ پس جو شخص مدینہ میں کوئی نئی بات ٭یعنی بدعت نکالے یا نئی بات نکالنے والے کو یعنی بدعتی کو جگہ دے تو اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی لعنت ہے اور فرشتوں کی اور سب لوگوں کی بھی۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا نہ کوئی فرض قبول کرے گا اور نہ سنت۔ اور امان دینا ہر مسلمان کا برابر ہے کہ ادنیٰ مسلمان کی پناہ دینے کا بھی اعتبار کیا جاتا ہے۔ اور جس نے اپنے آپ کو اپنے باپ کے سوا کسی غیر کا فرزند ٹھہرایا، یا اپنے آقاؤں کے سوا کسی دوسرے کا غلام اپنے آپ کو قرار دیا تو اس پر بھی اللہ تعالیٰ، فرشتوں اور سب لوگوں کی لعنت ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن اس کا نہ کوئی فرض قبول کرے گا اور نہ کوئی سنت۔ (٭ یہاں”حدث“سے مراد کوئی بھی جرم ہے اور اس میں یہ (بات یعنی بدعت) بھی شامل ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 777]
