انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Aisha the Truthful, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: The Quraysh and those who were upon the religion of Quraysh used to halt at Muzdalifah and would call themselves al-Hums (Abu al-Haytham said that this name is of the Quraysh and their offspring, and of Kinanah and Jadilah Qays, because they were strict and severe in their religion—that is, they practiced rigor and severity). And the rest of the Arabs used to halt at Arafah. Then when Islam came, Allah commanded His Prophet (peace be upon him) to come to Arafat, halt there, and depart from there. And this is the meaning of the verse: 'Then depart from where all the people depart.'
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہانہوں نے کہا کہ قریش اور وہ لوگ جو قریش کے دین پر تھے، مزدلفہ میں وقوف کرتے تھے اور اپنے کو حمس کہتے تھے (ابوالہیثم نے کہا ہے کہ یہ نام قریش کا ہے اور ان کی اولاد کا اور کنانہ اور جدیلہ قیس کا اس لئے کہ وہ اپنے دین میں حمس رکھتے تھے یعنی تشدد اور سختی کرتے تھے) اور باقی عرب کے لوگ عرفہ میں وقوف کرتے تھے۔ پھر جب اسلام آیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو حکم فرمایا کہ عرفات میں آئیں اور وہاں وقوف فرمائیں اور وہیں سے لوٹیں۔ اور یہی مطلب ہے اس آیت کا کہ”وہیں سے لوٹو جہاں سے سب لوگ لوٹتے ہیں“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 710]
