Narrated Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) set out for Hajj and we were with him (peace be upon him). Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He (peace be upon him) said to some of his companions, among whom was Abu Qatadah, "Take the route of the seacoast until you meet me." So those people took the route of the seacoast. Then when they turned back toward the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), all of them had entered ihram except Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), who had not entered ihram. As they were going along the way, they saw some wild donkeys, and Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) attacked them and hamstrung one of the she-donkeys. Then all his companions dismounted and ate its meat. Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We ate the (game) meat while we were in ihram. He said: Then they took the rest of the meat with them, and when they reached the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), they said, "O Messenger of Allah! We had entered ihram, but Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) had not entered ihram. Then we saw some wild donkeys, and Abu Qatadah attacked them and hamstrung one of them, so we dismounted and all of us ate its meat. Then it occurred to us that we are eating game meat while we are in ihram, so we have brought the rest of its meat." Then he (peace be upon him) said, "Did any of you command it, or point toward it?" Abu Qatadah says: They said, "No." He (peace be upon him) said, "Then eat the meat that is left (and there is no harm)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمحج کے لئے نکلے اور ہم آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ تھے۔ سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنے بعض اصحاب سے فرمایا، جن میں ابوقتادہ بھی تھے کہ تم ساحل بحر کی راہ لو یہاں تک کہ مجھ سے ملو۔ پھر ان لوگوں نے ساحل بحر کی راہ لی۔ پھر جب وہ لوگ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی طرف پھرے تو ان تمام لوگوں نے احرام باندھ لیا سوائے سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے کہ انہوں نے احرام نہیں باندھا۔ غرض وہ راہ میں چلے جاتے تھے کہ انہوں نے چند وحشی گدھوں کو دیکھا اور سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان پر حملہ کیا اور ان میں سے ایک گدھی کی کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں۔ پھر ان کے سب ساتھی اترے اور اس کا گوشت کھایا۔ سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے (شکار کا) گوشت کھایا اور ہم محرم تھے۔ کہتے ہیں پھر باقی کا گوشت ساتھ لے لیا اور جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس پہنچے تو عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ہم نے احرام باندھ لیا تھا، اور ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے احرام نہیں باندھا تھا پھر ہم نے چند وحشی گدھے دیکھے اور ابوقتادہ نے ان پر حملہ کر کے ان میں سے ایک کی کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں تو ہم اترے اور ہم سب نے اس کا گوشت کھایا اور پھر خیال آیا کہ ہم شکار کا گوشت کھا رہے ہیں اور احرام باندھے ہوئے ہیں؟ تو اس کا باقی گوشت ہم لیتے آئے ہیں۔ تب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ کیا تم میں سے کسی نے اس کا حکم کیا تھا یا اس کی طرف اشارہ کیا تھا؟ ابوقتادہ کہتے ہیں! تو انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ نہیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ پس اس کا جو گوشت باقی ہے وہ کھاؤ (اور کچھ حرج نہیں)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 682]
