Narrated Ali al-Azdi (may Allah be pleased with him): Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) taught him that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) mounted his camel to go on a journey, he would say 'Allahu Akbar' three times, then recite this supplication: "Glory be to Him who has subjected this (animal) to us, and we could not have subdued it, and to our Lord we are surely returning" (al-Zukhruf 43:13-14). "O Allah! We ask You in this journey of ours for righteousness and piety, and for deeds that please You. O Allah! Make this journey easy for us and fold up its distance for us. O Allah! You are the Companion in the journey and the Guardian over the family. O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the hardships of the journey, from grief and sorrow, and from returning to an evil state with regard to my wealth and family." (This he would recite when setting out.) And when he returned, he would recite this same supplication, adding to it: "We are returning, repenting, worshiping our Lord alone, and praising Him."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا علی ازدی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہسیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے انہیں سکھایا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکہیں سفر میں جانے کے لئے اپنے اونٹ پر سوار ہوتے تو تین بار اللہ اکبر فرماتے، پھر یہ دعا پڑھتے”پاک ہے وہ ذات جس نے اس جانور کو ہمارے تابع کر دیا اور ہم اس کو دبا نہ سکتے تھے اور ہم اپنے پروردگار کے پاس لوٹ جانے والے ہیں } الزخرف: 14,13 { اے اللہ! ہم تجھ سے اپنے اس سفر میں نیکی اور پرہیزگاری مانگتے ہیں اور ایسے کام کا سوال کرتے ہیں جسے تو پسند کرے۔ اے اللہ! ہم پر اس سفر کو آسان کر دے اور اس کی مسافت کو ہم پر تھوڑا کر دے۔ اے اللہ تو ہی سفر میں رفیق سفر اور گھر میں نگران ہے۔ اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے سفر کی تکلیفوں اور رنج و غم سے اور اپنے مال اور گھر والوں میں برے حال میں لوٹ کر آنے سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ (یہ تو جاتے وقت پڑھتے) اور جب لوٹ کر آتے تو بھی یہی دعا پڑھتے مگر اس میں اتنا زیادہ کرتے کہ”ہم لوٹنے والے ہیں، توبہ کرنے والے، خاص اپنے رب کی عبادت کرنے والے اور اسی کی تعریف کرنے والے ہیں“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 644]
