انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): Due to falling from a horse, the right side of the body of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was grazed, so we went to visit him (peace be upon him). Since the time of prayer had come, he (peace be upon him) led the prayer sitting, and we too prayed sitting behind him (peace be upon him). When we had all prayed, he said, "The imam is appointed only to be followed. When he says the takbir, you say the takbir; when he prostrates, you prostrate; when he raises his head, you raise your head; when he says the tasmi (Sami Allahu liman hamidah), you say the tahmid; and when he prays sitting, you too pray sitting." (This was the early ruling; later, during his final illness, he (peace be upon him) led the prayer sitting, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) prayed standing beside him (peace be upon him), and the Companions prayed standing behind.)
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہگھوڑے پر سے گرنے کی وجہ سے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا دائیں جانب کا بدن چھل گیا تو ہم آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی عیادت کے لئے گئے۔ چونکہ نماز کا وقت ہو گیا تھا اس لئے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بیٹھے بیٹھے نماز پڑھائی اور ہم نے بھی آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پیچھے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھی۔ جب ہم سب لوگ نماز پڑھ چکے تو ارشاد فرمایا کہ امام اسی لئے بنایا گیا ہے کہ اس کی پیروی کی جائے جب وہ تکبیر کہے تو تم بھی تکبیر کہو اور جب وہ سجدہ کرے تو تم بھی سجدہ کرو اور جب وہ سر اٹھائے تو تم بھی سر اٹھاؤ اور جب وہ تسمیع پڑھے تو تم تحمید پڑھو اور جب وہ بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھائے تو تم بھی بیٹھ کر ہی نماز ادا کرو۔ (یہ ابتدائی حکم ہے بعد میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی مرض الموت میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھائی۔ سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر اور صحابہ نے پیچھے کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھی)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 276]
