انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Mahmud bin Labid (may Allah be pleased with him): Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to (re)build the mosque, but the people disliked it and wished to leave the mosque as it was (that is, as it had been in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him). So Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah, the Exalted, will build for him a house like it in Paradise."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا محمود بن لبید رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہسیدنا عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ نے مسجد بنانے کا ارادہ کیا تو لوگوں نے اس بات کو برا سمجھا اور یہ چاہا کہ مسجد کو اپنے حال پر چھوڑ دیں (یعنی جیسے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دور میں تھی) تو عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا ہے آپ فرماتے تھے کہ جو شخص اللہ کے لئے مسجد بنائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لئے جنت میں ایک گھر ویسا ہی بنائے گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 240]
