Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): A woman fell ill and said, "If Allah, the Exalted, grants me recovery, I will go to Bait al-Maqdis and pray there." Then she recovered and prepared to go, and she came to the Mother of the Believers Maimunah (may Allah be pleased with her), greeted her, and informed her of her intention. She said, "Eat the provisions you have prepared and pray in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: Praying one prayer in this mosque is better than a thousand prayers in other mosques, except for al-Masjid al-Haram."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہایک عورت بیمار ہو گئی تو اس نے کہا کہ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے شفاء دی تو میں بیت المقدس میں جا کر نماز پڑھوں گی۔ پھر وہ اچھی ہو گئی تو اس نے جانے کی تیاری کی اور ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس حاضر ہو کر ان کو سلام کیا اور اپنے ارادہ کی خبر دی تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ تم نے جو زادراہ تیار کیا ہے وہ کھاؤ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی مسجد میں نماز پڑھو، اس لئے کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ اس مسجد میں ایک نماز ادا کرنا اور مسجدوں میں ہزار نمازیں ادا کرنے سے افضل ہے سوائے مسجدالحرام کے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 238]
