Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Three things follow the deceased (to the graveyard). Then two return and one remains. His family, his wealth, and his deeds go with him; so the family and the wealth return, and his deeds remain with him." (So one's deeds keep him full company; it is for this that a person should strive. Children, wealth, and riches are all one's companions only as long as one lives; after death they are of no use, and to become attached to them is folly.)
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: مردے کے ساتھ تین چیزیں (قبرستان میں) جاتی ہیں۔ پھر دو لوٹ آتی ہیں اور ایک رہ جاتی ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ اس کے گھر والے اور مال اور عمل جاتے ہیں، سو گھر والے اور مال تو لوٹ آتے ہیں اور عمل اس کے ساتھ رہ جاتا ہے (پس عمل پوری رفاقت کرتا ہے اسی کے لئے انسان کو کوشش کرنی چاہئے۔ بال بچے مال دولت یہ سب جینے تک کے ساتھ ہیں مرنے کے بعد کچھ کام کے نہیں اور ان میں دل لگانا بےعقلی ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2086]
