It is narrated from 'Ubaydullah ibn al-Qibtiyyah that Harith ibn Rabi'ah and 'Abdullah ibn Safwan both went to the Mother of the Believers Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I was with them. They asked Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) about the army that will be swallowed up -- and this was at the time when 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was the ruler of Mecca. She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A seeker of refuge will take refuge in the Ka'bah (meaning the Mahdi, peace be upon him), and an army will be sent against him. When they reach an open plain, they will be swallowed up." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! What of one who is with that army under compulsion (disapproving in his heart)?" He (peace be upon him) said, "He too will be swallowed up along with them, but on the Day of Resurrection he will be raised according to his intention." Abu Ja'far said: The plain intended is the plain of Medina.
اردو ترجمہ
عبیداللہ بن قبطیہ سے روایت ہے کہحارث بن ربیعہ اور عبداللہ بن صفوان دونوں ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئے۔ میں بھی ان کے ساتھ تھا۔ انہوں نے ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے اس لشکر کے بارے میں پوچھا جو دھنس جائے گا اور یہ اس زمانہ کا ذکر ہے جب سیدنا عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ مکہ کے حاکم تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ایک پناہ لینے والا خانہ کعبہ کی پناہ لے گا (مراد مہدی علیہ السلام ہیں) تو اس کی طرف لشکر بھیجا جائے گا۔ وہ جب ایک میدان میں پہنچ جائیں گے تو دھنس جائیں گے۔ میں نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! جو شخص زبردستی اس لشکر کے ساتھ ہو (دل میں برا جان کر)، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وہ بھی ان کے ساتھ دھنس جائے گا لیکن قیامت کے دن اپنی نیت پر اٹھے گا۔ ابوجعفر نے کہا کہ مراد مدینہ کا میدان ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2030]
