Narrated Abu al-Aswad al-Du'ali: Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "What do you think — that which people are acting upon today and toiling and laboring at, has that matter already been decided and passed in the earlier decree, or is it something yet to come based on the hadith and proof of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" I said, "That matter has already been decided and passed." Imran said, "Is that not injustice? (For when Allah, the Exalted, has written in someone's decree that he will be of the people of Hell, then how can he act contrary to it?)" Hearing this, I became greatly alarmed and said, "It is not injustice, for the reason that everything is Allah's creation and His possession; He cannot be questioned about it, but they (people) will be questioned." Imran said, "May Allah have mercy on you; I only asked this to test your intellect. Two men of the tribe of Muzaynah came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! What do you say — that which people are acting upon today and toiling at, has it already been decided and passed in the decree, or is it yet to come based on the command that the Prophet brought and the proof that has been established upon them?' He (peace be upon him) said, 'No, rather it has already been decided, and this is confirmed by the Book of Allah. Allah, the Exalted, said: \"By the soul and the One who fashioned it, then inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness\" (al-Shams: 7-8).'"
اردو ترجمہ
ابی الاسود دئلی کہتے ہیں کہمجھے سیدنا عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ تو کیا سمجھتا ہے کہ آج جس کے لئے لوگ عمل کر رہے ہیں اور محنت اور مشقت اٹھا رہے ہیں، آیا وہ بات فیصلہ پا چکی اور گزر گئی اگلی تقدیر کی رو سے یا آگے ہونے والی ہے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی حدیث سے اور حجت سے؟ میں نے کہا کہ وہ بات فیصلہ پا چکی اور گزر گئی۔ عمران نے کہا کہ کیا یہ ظلم نہیں ہے؟ (اس لئے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے جب کسی کی تقدیر میں جہنمی ہونا لکھ دیا تو پھر وہ اس کے خلاف کیونکر عمل کر سکتا ہے) یہ سن کر میں بہت گھبرایا اور میں نے کہا کہ یہ ظلم اس وجہ سے نہیں ہے کہ ہر ایک چیز اللہ کی بنائی ہوئی ہے اور اسی کی ملک ہے، اس سے کوئی نہیں پوچھ سکتا اور ان (لوگوں) سے پوچھا جائے گا۔ عمران نے کہا کہ اللہ تجھ پر رحم کرے، میں نے یہ اس لئے پوچھا کہ تیری عقل کو آزماؤں۔ مزینہ قبیلہ کے دو شخص رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ کیا فرماتے ہیں کہ آج جس کے لئے لوگ عمل کر رہے ہیں اور محنت اٹھا رہے ہیں، آیا فیصلہ ہو چکا اور تقدیر میں وہ بات گزر چکی یا آئندہ ہونے والا ہے اس حکم کی رو سے جس کو پیغمبر لے کر آئے اور ان پر حجت ثابت ہو چکی؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ نہیں بلکہ اس بات کا فیصلہ ہو چکا اور اس کی تصدیق اللہ کی کتاب سے ہوتی ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے کہ”قسم ہے جان کی اور قسم اس کی جس نے اس کو بنایا، پھر اس کو برائی اور بھلائی بتا دی“(الشمس: 7-8)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1843]
