Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "When someone says (regarding himself as excellent and deeming people contemptible), 'The people are ruined,' then he himself is the most ruined of them all (but if he says it out of grief or sorrow over the corruption of the religion, then it is not forbidden)." Abu Ishaq (ibn Muhammad ibn Sufyan) said, "I do not know whether in the hadith the word is 'ahlaka' or the word is 'ahlaku.'"
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جب کوئی (اپنے آپ کو عمدہ اور لوگوں کو حقیر جان کر) یہ کہے کہ لوگ ہلاک ہوئے تو وہ خود سب سے زیادہ ہلاک ہونے والا ہے (اور اگر افسوس یا رنج سے دین کی خرابی پر کہے تو منع نہیں ہے)۔ ابواسحٰق (ابن محمد بن سفیان) نے کہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ حدیث میں لفظ”اھلک“ہے یا لفظ”اھلک“ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1823]
