انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when he went to Makkah, he would keep with him a donkey for recreation, and when he grew weary of riding the camel he would ride upon it, and he kept a turban which he tied on his head. One day he was traveling on the donkey when a bedouin came out. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Are you not so-and-so, son of so-and-so? He said: Yes. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) gave him the donkey and said: Ride upon it; and he gave him the turban too and said: Tie it on your head. Some of Sayyiduna Abdullah's (may Allah be pleased with him) companions said: You gave away your donkey of recreation and the turban too which you used to tie on your head; may Allah the Exalted forgive you. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: The greatest kindness is that a man should treat his father's friends well after his father has died. And the father of this bedouin was a friend of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہجب وہ مکہ کو جاتے تو اپنے ساتھ ایک گدھا تفریح کے لئے رکھتے اور جب اونٹ کی سواری سے تھک جاتے تو اس پر سوار ہو جاتے اور ایک عمامہ رکھتے جو سر پر باندھتے تھے۔ ایک دن وہ گدھے پر جا رہے تھے کہ اتنے میں ایک اعرابی نکلا۔ سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ کیا تو فلاں ابن فلاں نہیں ہے؟ وہ بولا کہ ہاں۔ سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کو گدھا دیدیا اور کہا کہ اس پر چڑھ جا اور عمامہ بھی دیدیا اور کہا کہ اپنے سر پر باندھ لے۔ سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے بعض ساتھی بولے کہ تم نے اپنی تفریح کا گدھا دیدیا اور عمامہ بھی دیدیا جو اپنے سر پر باندھتے تھے اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں بخشے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ بڑی نیکی یہ ہے کہ آدمی اپنے باپ کے فوت ہو جانے کے بعد اس کے دوستوں سے (اچھا) سلوک کرے اور اس دیہاتی کا باپ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کا دوست تھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1759]
