Narrated Aisha the Truthful, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me during his illness, "Call your father Abu Bakr and your brother so that I may write a document, for I fear that some aspirant (to the caliphate) may aspire, and some speaker may say, 'I am more deserving (of the caliphate).' But Allah refuses, and the believers refuse, anyone (in the caliphate) other than Abu Bakr." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1628]
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمجھے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنی بیماری میں فرمایا کہ تو اپنے باپ ابوبکر کو اور اپنے بھائی کو بلا تاکہ میں ایک کتاب لکھ دوں، میں ڈرتا ہوں کہ کوئی (خلافت کی) آرزو کرنے والا آرزو نہ کرے اور کوئی کہنے والا یہ نہ کہے کہ میں (خلافت کا) زیادہ حقدار ہوں۔ اور اللہ تعالیٰ انکار کرتا ہے اور مسلمان بھی انکار کرتے ہیں ابوبکر کے سوا کسی اور (کی خلافت) سے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1628]
