انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "I saw in a dream that I was migrating from Mecca to a land where there were date palms. My mind went toward Yamamah and Hajar, but it turned out to be Medina, which is also named Yathrib. And I saw in this same dream that I shook a sword, and it broke from above; its interpretation turned out to be the defeat of the Muslims on the day of Uhud. Then I shook the sword a second time, and it became as firm and good as before; its interpretation turned out to be that Allah the Exalted granted victory and the community of the Muslims was established (that is, after the Battle of Uhud, Khaybar and Mecca were conquered and the army of Islam gained strength). And in this same dream I saw cows (that were being slaughtered), and Allah the Exalted is better (as this phrase is spoken, 'Allah is good'). By them were meant those of the Muslims who were martyred at Uhud, and by 'good' was meant the good that Allah the Exalted sent after that, and the reward of truthfulness that Allah the Exalted bestowed upon us after Badr."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میں نے خواب میں دیکھا کہ میں مکہ سے اس زمین کی طرف ہجرت کرتا ہوں جہاں کھجور کے درخت ہیں، میرا گمان یمامہ اور حجر کی طرف گیا لیکن وہ مدینہ نکلا، جس کا نام یثرب بھی ہے اور میں نے اپنے اسی خواب میں دیکھا کہ میں نے تلوار کو ہلایا تو وہ اوپر سے ٹوٹ گئی، اس کی تعبیر احد کے دن مسلمانوں کی شکست نکلی۔ پھر میں نے تلوار کو دوسری بار ہلایا تو آگے سے ویسی ہی ثابت اور اچھی ہو گئی۔ اس کی تعبیر یہ نکلی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فتح نصیب کی اور مسلمانوں کی جماعت قائم ہو گئی (یعنی جنگ احد کے بعد خیبر اور مکہ فتح ہوا اور اسلام کے لشکر نے زور پکڑا) اور میں نے اسی خواب میں گائیں دیکھیں (جو کاٹی جاتی تھیں) اور اللہ تعالیٰ بہتر ہے (جیسے یہ جملہ بولا جاتا ہے اللہ خیر) اس سے مسلمانوں کے وہ لوگ مراد تھے جو احد میں شہید ہوئے اور خیر سے مراد وہ خیر تھی جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کے بعد بھیجی اور سچائی کا ثواب جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں بدر کے بعد عنایت کیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1513]
