Amir ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I sent my slave Nafi to Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) with a written message saying, "Narrate to me what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)." He says: He wrote back in reply: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on the eve of the Friday on which Ma'iz al-Aslami was stoned, saying, "This religion will remain established until the Hour comes, or until there are twelve caliphs over you, and they will all be of the Quraysh" (perhaps this event too will be near the Hour, that at one time the Muslims will have twelve caliphs over twelve sections). And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying, "A small band of the Muslims will conquer the white palace of Khosrau" (this was a miracle, and it happened just so in the caliphate of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)). And I heard him (peace be upon him) saying, "Before the Hour, liars will appear; beware of them." And I heard him (peace be upon him) saying, "When Allah the Exalted gives any of you wealth, let him first spend upon himself and his household (keeping them in comfort, then give to the poor)." And I heard him (peace be upon him) saying, "I will be awaiting you at the Pond of Kawthar (that is, I will make arrangements there to give you water and will await your coming)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عامر بن سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے اپنے غلام نافع کو یہ لکھ کر سیدنا جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بھیجا کہ مجھ سے وہ بات بیان کرو جو آپ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنی ہو۔ کہتے ہیں انہوں نے جواب میں لکھا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اس جمعہ کی شام، جس دن ماعز اسلمی سنگسار کئے گئے سنا ہے آپ فرما رہے تھے کہ یہ دین ہمیشہ قائم رہے گا یہاں تک کہ قیامت قائم ہو یا تم پر بارہ خلیفہ ہوں اور وہ سب قریشی ہوں گے (شاید یہ واقعہ بھی قیامت کے قریب ہو گا کہ ایک ہی وقت میں مسلمانوں کے بارہ خلیفہ بارہ ٹکڑیوں پر ہوں گے) اور میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ مسلمانوں کی ایک چھوٹی سی جماعت کسریٰ کے سفید محل کو فتح کرے گی (یہ معجزہ تھا اور سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کی خلافت میں ایسا ہی ہوا) اور میں نے سنا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ قیامت سے پہلے جھوٹے پیدا ہوں گے ان سے بچنا اور میں نے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ جب اللہ تعالیٰ تم میں سے کسی کو دولت دے، تو پہلے اپنے اوپر اور اپنے گھر والوں پر خرچ کرے (ان کو آرام سے رکھے پھر فقیروں کو دے) اور میں نے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ میں حوض کوثر پر تمہارا انتظار کرنے والا ہوں (یعنی تمہارے پانی پلانے کے لئے وہاں بندوبست کروں گا اور تمہارے آنے کا منتظر رہوں گا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1196]
