انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Abd ar-Rahman bin Shumasah: Fuqaym al-Lakhmi said to Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), "In this old age you keep going back and forth between these two targets; it must be hard for you." Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Had I not heard a saying from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), I would not endure this hardship." Harith said: I asked Ibn Shumasah, "What was that saying?" He said: He (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever learns archery and then abandons it is not of us," or "he is a sinner." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1104]
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عبدالرحمن بن شماسہ سے روایت ہے کہفقیم لخمی نے سیدنا عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ اس بڑھاپے میں تم ان دونوں نشانوں میں آتے جاتے ہو، تم پر مشکل ہوتا ہو گا۔ سیدنا عقبہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ اگر میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ایک بات نہ سنی ہوتی، تو میں یہ مشقت نہ اٹھاتا۔ حارث نے کہا کہ میں نے ابن شماسہ سے پوچھا کہ وہ کیا بات تھی؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جو کوئی نشانہ بازی سیکھ کر چھوڑ دے، وہ ہم میں سے نہیں ہے یا گنہگار ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1104]
