Hadrat ' Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) addressed us. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had supported his back (by reclining) against a leather tent and stated: 'Behold, no one but a believing person would enter Paradise. O Allah, have I conveyed (the message)? O Allah, be witness (to it that I have conveyed it). Do you like that you should constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise?' We submitted: Yes, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) again stated: 'Do you like that you should constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise?' The Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them all) submitted: Yes, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'I hope that you would constitute one-half of the inhabitants of Paradise. Your likeness among the other peoples is like a white hair on (the body of) a black ox or like a black hair on (the body of) a white ox.'
اردو ترجمہ
مالک بن مغول نے ابو اسحاق کے واسطے سے عمرو بن میمون سے حدیث سنائی، انہوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں خطاب فرمایا، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے چمڑے کے ایک خیمے سے ٹیک لگائی ہوئی تھی اور ارشاد فرمایا: ''یاد رکھو! جنت میں اسلام لانے والی روح کے سوا کوئی داخل نہ ہو گا۔ اے اللہ! کیا میں نے پیغام پہنچا دیا؟ اے اللہ! تو گواہ رہنا۔ کیا تم پسند کرتے ہو کہ تم اہل جنت کا چوتھائی حصہ ہو؟'' ہم نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں، یا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم)! آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''کیا تم پسند کرتے ہو کہ تم اہل جنت کا تہائی حصہ ہو؟'' صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں، یا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم)! آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''مجھے امید ہے کہ تم اہل جنت کا نصف ہو گے، دوسری امتوں کے مقابلے میں تمہاری مثال اس سفید بال کی سی ہے جو سیاہ بیل پر ہو یا اس سیاہ بال کی سی ہے جو سفید بیل پر ہو۔''
