حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ أُنَاسٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنُؤَاخَذُ بِمَا عَمِلْنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ قَالَ " أَمَّا مَنْ أَحْسَنَ مِنْكُمْ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ فَلاَ يُؤَاخَذُ بِهَا وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ أُخِذَ بِعَمَلِهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَالإِسْلاَمِ " .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Mansur narrated from Abu Wa'il, from Hadrat Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be well pleased with him), that some people submitted to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), will we be held accountable for the deeds we committed during the Age of Ignorance? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Whoever among you performs good deeds in Islam will not be held accountable for his deeds of the Age of Ignorance. And whoever commits evil (even after embracing Islam) will be held accountable for his deeds in both the Age of Ignorance and Islam.
اردو ترجمہ
منصور نے ابو وائل سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ (بن مسعود) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ کچھ لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا جاہلیت کے اعمال پر ہمارا مواخذہ ہو گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تم میں سے جس نے اسلام لانے کے بعد اچھے عمل کیے، اس کا جاہلیت کے اعمال پر مواخذہ نہیں ہو گا اور جس نے برے اعمال کیے، اس کا جاہلیت اور اسلام دونوں کے اعمال پر مواخذہ ہو گا۔
