حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ رَدِيفُهُ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذُ " . قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذُ " . قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذُ " . قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . قَالَ " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلاَّ حَرَّمَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّارِ " . قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلاَ أُخْبِرُ بِهَا النَّاسَ فَيَسْتَبْشِرُوا قَالَ " إِذًا يَتَّكِلُوا " فَأَخْبَرَ بِهَا مُعَاذٌ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ تَأَثُّمًا .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Qatadah narrated: Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) told us that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was riding and Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) was seated behind him on the saddle. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: O Hadrat Mu'adh! He submitted: At your service, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and may my fortune be blessed. He stated again: O Hadrat Mu'adh! He submitted: At your service, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and may my fortune be blessed. He stated again: O Hadrat Mu'adh! He submitted: At your service, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and may my fortune be blessed. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: No servant bears witness sincerely from his heart that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except that Allah the Exalted has made Hellfire forbidden upon him. Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), shall I not inform the people of this so they may rejoice? He stated: No, for then they will rely upon it alone. And Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated this hadith at the time of his death, to avoid the sin of concealing knowledge.
اردو ترجمہ
قتادہ نے بیان کیا: ہمیں حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حدیث سنائی کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (سواری پر تھے) اور حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ پالان پر آپ کے پیچھے سوار تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اے حضرت معاذ! انہوں نے عرض کیا: حاضر ہوں یا رسول اللہ! میرے نصیب روشن ہوں۔ پھر ارشاد فرمایا: اے حضرت معاذ! عرض کیا: حاضر ہوں یا رسول اللہ! میرے نصیب روشن ہوں۔ پھر ارشاد فرمایا: اے حضرت معاذ! عرض کیا: حاضر ہوں یا رسول اللہ! میرے نصیب روشن ہوں۔ ارشاد فرمایا: کوئی بندہ ایسا نہیں جو سچے دل سے گواہی دے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور محمد (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں، مگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس پر دوزخ حرام کر دی۔ حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا میں لوگوں کو یہ بات بتا دوں تاکہ وہ خوش ہو جائیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: نہیں، ورنہ وہ اسی پر بھروسا کر لیں گے۔ اور حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے یہ حدیث اپنی وفات کے وقت (گناہ سے بچنے کے لیے) بیان فرمائی۔
