Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Dawud, from Amir (ibn Sharahil) (may Allah have mercy on him), who said: I asked Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him): Was Hadrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) present with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the night of the jinn? Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I myself asked Hadrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him): Was any of you Companions present with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the night of the jinn? He said: No, but one night we were with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and we could not find him. We searched for him in the valleys and mountain passes (but could not find him), so we said: Perhaps he has been carried away or has been secretly killed. He said: We spent the worst night any people could ever spend. When dawn came, we suddenly saw him coming from the direction of Hira'. He said: We submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), we could not find you so we began searching for you but could not find you, and so we spent the worst night any people could ever spend. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'A caller on behalf of the jinn came to me, so I went with him and recited the Quran to them.' He said: Then he took us and showed us their traces and the traces of their fires. They (the jinn) asked him about provisions, so he said: 'Every bone on which the name of Allah has been mentioned is yours; when it reaches your hands it will have upon it the most abundant flesh. And every piece of dung is fodder for your animals.' Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said (to the humans): 'Do not use these two things for istinja (cleansing after relieving yourselves), for they are the food of your brothers (the jinn and their animals).'
اردو ترجمہ
ہم سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے عبد الاعلیٰ نے بیان کیا، داؤد سے، انہوں نے عامر (بن شراحیل) رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ سے روایت کی، فرمایا: میں نے علقمہ رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ سے پوچھا: کیا جنوں (سے ملاقات) کی رات حضرت عبد اللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے؟ علقمہ رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے فرمایا: میں نے خود حضرت ابن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا: کیا آپ صحابہ کرام میں سے کوئی لیلۃ الجن میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ موجود تھے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: نہیں، لیکن ایک رات ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے تو ہم نے آپ کو نہ پایا، ہم نے آپ کو وادیوں اور گھاٹیوں میں تلاش کیا (آپ نہ ملے) تو ہم نے کہا: شاید آپ کو اڑا لیا گیا ہے یا آپ کو بے خبری میں قتل کر دیا گیا ہے۔ فرمایا: ہم نے بدترین رات گزاری جو کسی قوم نے (کبھی) گزاری ہو گی۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو اچانک دیکھا کہ آپ حراء کی طرف سے تشریف لا رہے ہیں۔ فرمایا: ہم نے عرض کی: یا رسول اللہ! ہم نے آپ کو نہ پایا تو آپ کی تلاش شروع کر دی لیکن آپ نہ ملے، اس لیے ہم نے وہ بدترین رات گزاری جو کوئی قوم (کبھی) گزار سکتی ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ''میرے پاس جنوں کی طرف سے دعوت دینے والا آیا تو میں اس کے ساتھ گیا اور میں نے ان کے سامنے قرآن کی قراءت کی۔'' فرمایا: پھر آپ ہمیں لے کر تشریف لے گئے اور ہمیں ان کے نقوشِ قدم اور ان کی آگ کے نشانات دکھائے۔ جنوں نے آپ سے زادِ راہ (خوراک) کا سوال کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ''تمہارے لیے ہر وہ ہڈی ہے جس (کے جانور) پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو اور تمہارے ہاتھ لگ جائے، (اس پر لگا ہوا) گوشت جتنا زیادہ سے زیادہ ہو، اور ہر مینگنی تمہارے جانوروں کا چارہ ہے۔'' پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے (انسانوں سے) فرمایا: ''تم ان دونوں چیزوں سے استنجاء نہ کیا کرو کیونکہ یہ دونوں (دین میں) تمہارے بھائیوں (جنوں اور ان کے جانوروں) کا کھانا ہیں۔''
