وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى كَتَبَ كِتَابًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ الْخَلْقَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي فَهُوَ مَكْتُوب عِنْده فَوق الْعَرْش. مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Hurayrah reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Most High created creation. When He finished, kinship (rahim) stood up and said: 'This is the station of one who seeks refuge with You from being cut off.' He said: 'Yes. Are you not content that I maintain ties with whoever maintains ties with you, and cut off whoever cuts ties with you?' It said: 'Indeed, O Lord.' He said: 'Then that is yours.'" Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Recite if you wish: 'So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your ties of kinship?' (47:22)." Agreed upon.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا:”اللہ تعالیٰ نے مخلوق کی تخلیق سے پہلے ایک مکتوب (لوح محفوظ) تحریر کیا کہ میری رحمت، میرے غضب پر غالب ہے اور وہ عرش کے اوپر اس کے پاس لکھا ہوا ہے۔“متفق علیہ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب أحوال القيامة وبدء الخلق/حدیث: 5700]
