Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spent ten years following people at their homes during the season, at Majannah, Ukaz, and at their camps in Mina, saying: "Who will shelter me and support me so that I may convey the messages of my Lord, and for him shall be Paradise?" But he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) found no one to support or shelter him, until Allah sent us to him from Yathrib. A man would come to him, believe in him, and he would teach him the Quran, then the man would return to his family and they would accept Islam through him, until there was no house in Yathrib that did not have a group of Muslims openly practicing Islam. Then they consulted and gathered, saying: How long shall the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) be driven through the mountains of Makkah in fear? So they traveled to meet him during the season and agreed to meet at the ravine of al-Aqabah. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "You pledge to me to hear and obey in times of vigor and laziness, to spend in hardship and ease, to enjoin good and forbid evil, to speak for the sake of Allah without fearing the blame of any blamer, to support me when I come to you, and to protect me as you protect yourselves, your wives, and your children — and for you shall be Paradise."
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دس سال تک موسم حج میں لوگوں کے پاس ان کی منزلوں پر، مجنّہ، عکاظ اور منیٰ میں جاتے رہے اور فرماتے: "کون ہے جو مجھے پناہ دے اور میری مدد کرے تاکہ میں اپنے رب کے پیغامات پہنچاؤں اور اس کے لیے جنت ہے؟" لیکن آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو کوئی مددگار اور پناہ دینے والا نہ ملتا۔ یہاں تک کہ اللہ نے ہمیں یثرب سے آپ کے لیے بھیجا۔ ایک آدمی آتا، ایمان لاتا، آپ اسے قرآن سکھاتے، پھر وہ اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس لوٹتا اور اس کے اسلام سے وہ بھی مسلمان ہو جاتے۔ یہاں تک کہ یثرب میں کوئی گھر نہ رہا جس میں مسلمانوں کا ایک گروہ نہ ہو۔ پھر ہم نے مشورہ کیا اور جمع ہوئے اور کہا: کب تک رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مکہ کے پہاڑوں میں بھٹکتے اور خوفزدہ رہیں؟ پھر ہم موسم حج میں آپ کے پاس آئے اور عقبہ کی گھاٹی میں ملنے کا وعدہ کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "تم مجھ سے اس بات پر بیعت کرو کہ چستی اور سستی میں سنو گے اور اطاعت کرو گے، تنگی اور آسانی میں خرچ کرو گے، نیکی کا حکم دو گے اور برائی سے روکو گے، اللہ کے لیے بولو گے اور کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت سے نہ ڈرو گے، جب میں تمہارے پاس آؤں تو میری مدد کرو گے اور اس طرح میری حفاظت کرو گے جس طرح اپنی جانوں، اپنی بیویوں اور اپنی اولاد کی حفاظت کرتے ہو، اور تمہارے لیے جنت ہے۔"
