أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدٌ فَبَايَعَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَلَمْ يَشْعُرْ أَنَّهُ عَبْدٌ فَجَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ يُرِيدُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بِعْنِيهِ» فَاشْتَرَاهُ بِعَبْدَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُبَايعْ أَحَدًا حَتَّى يَسْأَلَهُ أَعْبُدٌ هُوَ؟
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: A slave came and pledged allegiance to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) for hijrah, and the Prophet did not realize he was a slave. Then his master came wanting him back. The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Sell him to me." So he purchased him for two black slaves. After that, he would not accept the pledge of anyone until he asked whether he was a slave.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک غلام آیا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے ہجرت پر بیعت کی اور آپ کو پتا نہ تھا کہ وہ غلام ہے۔ پھر اس کا مالک آیا اسے واپس لینے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «اسے مجھے بیچ دو۔» تو آپ نے اسے دو سیاہ غلاموں کے بدلے خریدا۔ اس کے بعد آپ کسی سے بیعت نہ لیتے جب تک نہ پوچھ لیتے کہ وہ غلام تو نہیں۔
