Al-Hasan bin Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Ubaidullah bin Musa narrated to us from Hammam from Qatadah from Al-Hasan from Jawn bin Qatadah from Salamah bin Al-Muhabbiq that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to a house during the expedition of Tabuk, and in its courtyard there was a hanging waterskin. He asked for water, and it was said to him that it was made from a dead animal. He said: "The tanning of leather is its purification."
