أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَلَدَ فِي الْحَدِّ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ» فَلَمَّا كَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ جَلَدَ أَرْبَعِينَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ دَنَا النَّاسُ مِنَ الرِّيفِ وَالْقُرَى فَذُكِرَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ «اجْعَلْهَا كَأَخَفِّ الْحُدُودِ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) flogged in the prescribed punishment with palm branches and shoes. When Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) came, he flogged forty times. When 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) came, people came near to the countryside and towns, so this was mentioned to his companions, and 'Abd al-Rahman said: "Make it like the lightest of the prescribed punishments."
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حد میں کھجور کی شاخوں اور جوتوں سے کوڑے مارے۔ جب ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا دور آیا تو انہوں نے چالیس کوڑے مارے۔ جب عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا دور آیا تو لوگ دیہات اور بستیوں کے قریب آ گئے، تو یہ بات ان کے اصحاب سے ذکر کی گئی تو عبدالرحمٰن نے کہا: «اسے سب سے ہلکی حد کے برابر بنا دیجیے۔»
