Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan informed us, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us from Sufyan from Asim ibn Kulayyb from his father from Wa'il ibn Hujar, who said: 'I said: I will observe the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So he stood and raised his hands when he said: Allah is the Greatest, until they were level with his ears. Then he placed his right hand on his left hand, wrist, and forearm. When he wanted to bow, he raised them likewise. When he prostrated, he placed his face between his hands. When he sat, he placed his left foot under him and placed his left hand on his left thigh, and made his right elbow rest on his right thigh, and clenched two of his fingers and made a circle.'
