أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْقِبْطِيَّةِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَفَعَ أَحَدُنَا يَدَهُ يُمْنَةً وَيُسْرَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيكُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ أَوَلَا يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى مَنْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمَنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jabir ibn Samurah said: When we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), one of us would raise his hand to the right and left. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'What is the matter with me that I see you raising your hands as if they were tails of wild horses? Is it not sufficient for one of you to place his hand on his thigh, then give the salutation to those on his right and those on his left?'
