انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that a man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the night prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The night prayer is in pairs of two rak'ahs. When any of you fears the approach of dawn, let him pray one rak'ah, which will make all that he has prayed an odd number (witr)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہایک شخص نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے نماز تہجد کی بابت پوچھا تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”نماز شب کی دو دو رکعتیں ہیں پھر جب تم میں سے کسی کو صبح ہو جانے کا خوف ہو تو وہ ایک رکعت پڑھ لے، یہ ایک رکعت جس قدر نماز وہ پڑھ چکا ہے سب کو وتر بنا دے گی۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 539]
