(Book: On jizyah and the like... Chapter: Making peace with the polytheists over wealth and the like, and ceasing warfare (is permissible), and how grave is the sin of one who does not fulfill a covenant... In the blessed hadith, the detailed account of the two persons named Huwayyisah and Muhayyisah has already been mentioned.) Here there is this addition: that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said (while giving his judgment): "Either the Jews of Khaybar pay the blood money for your slain companion (Abdullah), or let them prepare for war."
اردو ترجمہ
(کتاب: جزیہ وغیرہ کے بیان میں۔۔۔ باب: مشرکوں سے مال وغیرہ پر صلح کرنا، لڑائی چھوڑ دینا (جائز ہے) اور اس شخص کا گناہ بہت سخت ہے جو عہد کو پورا نہ کرے۔۔۔ حدیث مبارک میں”حویصہ اور محیصہ“نامی دونوں اشخاص کا واقعہ مفصل گزر چکا ہے۔)یہاں اتنا زیادہ ہے کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (فیصلہ کرتے وقت) فرمایا:”یا تو خیبر کے یہودی تمہارے مقتول ساتھی (عبداللہ) کی دیت دیں ورنہ لڑائی کے لیے تیار ہو جائیں۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2205]
