انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If the belly of one of you were filled with pus, that would be better for him than that it be filled with poetry." (That is, when nothing but poetry occupies his memory and there is nothing else in him — especially poetry that is contrary to the Shari'ah.)
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگر تم میں سے کسی کا پیٹ پیپ سے بھر جائے تو یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ شعر و شاعری سے بھر جائے۔“(بس شعر و شاعری ہی اس کو یاد ہو اور کچھ اس کے پیٹ میں نہ ہو اور خاص طور پر اشعار بھی وہ جو خلاف شرع ہوں)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2048]
