انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: "Oh, my head is splitting!" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) (on hearing this) said: "(Do not grieve; rather) it would be better if your end came during this very illness and during my lifetime, so that I may pray and seek forgiveness for you." Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Alas! By Allah, I think you actually wish for my death, for if I were to die, you would spend that very evening's night with one of your wives." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "That will never be the case. Rather, I am (myself) suffering from a headache, and I wish, or I intend (the narrator is uncertain), to send someone to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and his son (to summon them and) make a bequest (regarding the caliphate), so that afterward no one may say anything and no one may aspire (to the caliphate). But then I thought that Allah Himself would not approve (of anyone else's caliphate), nor would the Muslims approve of it."
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہانھوں نے کہا”ہائے میرا سر پھٹا جاتا ہے۔“تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (یہ سن کر) فرمایا:”(غم نہ کرو بلکہ) اسی درد میں اور میری زندگی میں تمہارا خاتمہ ہو جائے تو بہتر ہے تاکہ میں تمہارے لیے دعا اور استغفار کروں۔“عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا”ہائے افسوس اللہ کی قسم میں گمان کرتی ہوں کہ آپ میرا مرنا ہی چاہتے ہیں بلکہ اگر میں مر جاؤں تو آپ اسی دن شام کو اپنی بیویوں میں سے ایک کے ساتھ رات گزاریں گے۔”نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”یہ بات ہرگز نہیں بلکہ میں درد سر میں (خود مبتلا) ہوں اور میں چاہتا ہوں یا ارادہ کرتا ہوں (راوی کو شک ہے) کہ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اور ان کے بیٹے کے پاس کسی کو بھیج کر (ان لوگوں کو بلا لوں اور خلافت کی) وصیت کر دوں تاکہ بعد میں کوئی کچھ نہ کہے سکے اور نہ کوئی (خلافت کی) آرزو کر سکے (مگر) پھر میں نے سوچا کہ اللہ کو خود (کسی دوسرے کی خلافت) منظور نہیں اور نہ مسلمان منظور کریں گے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1957]
