انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated in another report from Sahl ibn Sad (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have come to offer myself to you as a gift." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) looked at her, then examined her carefully from head to foot, then lowered his head... Then he related the previous hadith in full, and at the end said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Can you recite these (chapters) from memory?" He said, "Yes." He (peace be upon him) said, "Go! I have given you ownership of (marriage to) this woman in exchange for the Qur'an you know." (That is, teaching these chapters is your dowry.)
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہی ایک دوسری روایت میں منقول ہے کہایک عورت رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئی اور عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ! میں آپ کو اپنا نفس ہبہ کرنے آئی ہوں۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس کی طرف نظر کی پھر اسے سر سے پاؤں تک غور سے دیکھا پھر اپنا سر نیچا کر لیا .... پھر گزشتہ حدیث پوری بیان کی اور آخر میں کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”کیا تو ان (سورتوں) کو زبانی پڑھ سکتا ہے؟ اس نے کہا جی ہاں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جا! میں نے تجھے قرآن یاد ہونے کے عوض میں اس عورت کا مالک بنا دیا۔“(یعنی ان سورتوں کی تعلیم دینا تیرا مہر ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1846]
