حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَمِّ، نَبِيِّكُمْ ـ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى ". وَنَسَبَهُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ. وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ فَقَالَ " مُوسَى آدَمُ طُوَالٌ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوءَةَ ". وَقَالَ " عِيسَى جَعْدٌ مَرْبُوعٌ ". وَذَكَرَ مَالِكًا خَازِنَ النَّارِ، وَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Hadrat Ibn `Abbas that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "One should not say that I am better than Jonah (upon him be peace) (i.e. Yunus (upon him be peace)) bin Matta." So, he mentioned his father Matta. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) mentioned the night of his Ascension and said, "The prophet Moses (upon him be peace) was brown, a tall person as if from the people of the tribe of Shanu'a. Jesus (upon him be peace) was a curly-haired man of moderate height." He also mentioned Malik, the gate-keeper of the (Hell) Fire, and Ad-Dajjal
اردو ترجمہ
ہم سے محمد بن سنان نے بیان کیا، ہم سے فلیح نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ہلال نے بیان کیا، عطاء بن یسار سے، حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے، نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کسی کو یہ نہیں کہنا چاہیے کہ میں یونس بن متیٰ علیہ السلام سے بہتر ہوں۔ آپ نے ان کے والد متیٰ کا ذکر فرمایا۔
