ويإسناده أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كان يقول إن الرجل لا تمتليء نفسه من المال حتى تمتليء من التراب ولو لأحدكم واد ملآن مابين أَعْلاهُ إِلَى أَسْفَلِهِ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُمْلأَ لَهُ واد آخر فإن ملئ الواد الأخر فانطلق فوجد واد آخَرَ قَالَ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ لَمَلأْتُكَوَهَذَا الْكَلامُ لا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن سَمُرة إلاَّ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي نَحْوِ كَلامِهِ بِغَيْرِ لَفْظِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْ وُجُوهٍ كان يقول إن الرجل لا تمتليء نفسه من المال حتى تمتليء من التراب ولو لأحدكم واد ملآن مابين أَعْلاهُ إِلَى أَسْفَلِهِ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُمْلأَ لَهُ واد آخر فإن ملئ الواد الأخر فانطلق فوجد واد آخَرَ قَالَ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ لَمَلأْتُكَوَهَذَا الْكَلامُ لا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن سَمُرة إلاَّ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي نَحْوِ كَلامِهِ بِغَيْرِ لَفْظِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْ وُجُوهٍ
انگریزی ترجمہ
With the same chain: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say: 'A man's soul is never satisfied with wealth until it is satisfied with dust. If one of you had a valley filled from top to bottom, he would wish to have another valley filled, and if the second valley were filled and he came upon another valley, he would say: By Allah, if I could, I would fill you too.' This wording, we do not know it narrated from Samurah except with this chain, though something similar in meaning has been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) through other routes.
