حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ نا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ إِلَّا عُبَيْدَةُ فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ إِلَّا عُبَيْدَةُ

Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak al-Mukharrimi narrated to us saying: Abd ar-Razzaq narrated to us from Ma'mar from Hammam ibn Munabbih who said: This is what Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) - and he mentioned hadiths, among them: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Your fire which the sons of Adam kindle is one seventieth part of the Fire of Jahannam.' They said: 'By Allah, it (this worldly fire) would have been sufficient, O Messenger of Allah!' He said: 'It (the Fire of Hell) has been increased over it by sixty-nine parts, each one of them is like its heat.'
