حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ قَالَ نَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ ضَيْفًا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرْسَلَنِي أَبْتَغِي لَهُ طَعَامًا فَأَتَيْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ فَقُلْتُ يَقُولُ لَكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ نَزَلَ بِنَا ضَيْفٌ وَلَمْ يَلْقَ عِنْدَنَا بَعْضَ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُهُ فَبِعْنِي أَوْ أَسْلِفْنِي إِلَى هِلَالِ رَجَبٍ فَقَالَ الْيَهُودِيُّ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا أُسْلِفُهُ وَلَا أَبِيعُهُ إِلَّا بِرَهْنٍ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ أَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَوْ أَسْلَفَنِي أَوْ بَاعَني لَأَدَّيْتُ إِلَيْهِ اذْهَبْ بِدِرْعِي فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ تُعَزِّيهِ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرْسَلَنِي أَبْتَغِي لَهُ طَعَامًا فَأَتَيْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ فَقُلْتُ يَقُولُ لَكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ نَزَلَ بِنَا ضَيْفٌ وَلَمْ يَلْقَ عِنْدَنَا بَعْضَ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُهُ فَبِعْنِي أَوْ أَسْلِفْنِي إِلَى هِلَالِ رَجَبٍ فَقَالَ الْيَهُودِيُّ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا أُسْلِفُهُ وَلَا أَبِيعُهُ إِلَّا بِرَهْنٍ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ أَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَوْ أَسْلَفَنِي أَوْ بَاعَني لَأَدَّيْتُ إِلَيْهِ اذْهَبْ بِدِرْعِي فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ تُعَزِّيهِ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, he said: Abu Asim narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn Ubaydah narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn Qusayt informed me, from Abu Rafi', the freedman of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that a guest came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he sent me to find food for him. I went to a Jewish man and said: Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says to you: A guest has come to us and we do not have what would suffice him, so sell to me or lend me until the beginning of Rajab. The Jew said: By Allah, I will neither lend to him nor sell to him except with a pledge. I returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him. He said: "By Allah, I am trustworthy among the people of the heavens and trustworthy among the people of the earth. Had he lent to me or sold to me, I would have repaid him. Go with my armor." Then this verse was revealed consoling him regarding worldly matters: 'Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories among them.'
