وَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ بُخَيتٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَسَاهُ قُبْطِيَّةً فَكَسَاهَا امْرَأَتَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا فَعَلْتَ بِالْقُبْطِيَّةِ قَالَ كَسَوْتُهَا الْمَرْأَةَ قَالَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَتَّخِذْ تَحْتَهَا غِلَالَةً لَا تَصِفُ حَجْمَ عِظَامِهَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إِلَّا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

And 'Ubayd ibn Bukhayt informed us, he said: 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far al-Raqqi informed us, he said: 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Amr informed us, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, from the son of Usamah ibn Zayd, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a Qibtiyyah (fine Egyptian linen garment), and he gave it to his wife. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'What did you do with the Qibtiyyah?' He said: 'I gave it to my wife.' The Prophet said: 'Tell her to wear an undergarment beneath it, so that it does not describe the shape of her bones.' We do not know this hadith to be narrated with this wording except from Usamah ibn Zayd with this chain.
