حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ صِلَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ الْعَاقِبَ وَالسَّيِّدَ أَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُلَاعِنَهُمَا فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا نُلَاعِنَهُ فَلَئِنْ كَانَ نَبِيًّا فَلَاعَنَّا لَا نُفْلِحُ نَحْنُ وَلَا عَقِبُنَا مِنْ بَعْدِنَا قَالُوا لَهُ نُعْطِيكَ مَا سَأَلْتَ فَابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا أَمِينًا وَلَا تَبْعَثْ مَعَنَا إِلَّا أَمِينًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَبْعَثَنَّ مَعَكُمْ رَجُلًا أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ قَالَ قُمْ يَا أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُلَاعِنَهُمَا فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا نُلَاعِنَهُ فَلَئِنْ كَانَ نَبِيًّا فَلَاعَنَّا لَا نُفْلِحُ نَحْنُ وَلَا عَقِبُنَا مِنْ بَعْدِنَا قَالُوا لَهُ نُعْطِيكَ مَا سَأَلْتَ فَابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا أَمِينًا وَلَا تَبْعَثْ مَعَنَا إِلَّا أَمِينًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَبْعَثَنَّ مَعَكُمْ رَجُلًا أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ قَالَ قُمْ يَا أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us, he stated: Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, he stated: Isra'il narrated to us from Abu Ishaq from Silah from Hadrat Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) that al-Aqib and as-Sayyid came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he wanted to invoke mutual curse with them. One of them stated to his companion: Let us not invoke mutual curse with him, for if he is a Prophet and we invoke mutual curse with him, neither we nor our progeny after us will prosper. They stated to him: We will give you what you asked, so send with us a trustworthy man, and do not send with us except a trustworthy one. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «I shall send with you a trustworthy man, truly trustworthy.» He stated: «Stand, O Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah.» When he stood, he stated: «This is the trustworthy one of this Ummah.» This hadith — we do not know it to be narrated from Abdullah except with this chain of transmission.
