حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَا نا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ قَالَ نا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ وَزِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna and Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, they said: Badal ibn al-Muhabbar narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Malik ibn al-Walid ibn Ma'dan narrated to us, from Asim, from Abu Wa'il and Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Abdullah, that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to recite in the two rak'ahs before Fajr: 'Say: O disbelievers' [Surah al-Kafirun] and 'Say: He is Allah, the One' [Surah al-Ikhlas].
