قَالَ سُكَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ قَدْ سَمَّاهُ قَالَ وَفِيهَا تِيبَ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ حَفْصِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا سَبَقَهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلَهُ وَلَا يُدْرِكُهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَبْعَثُهُ فِي السَّرِيَّةِ جِبْرِيلُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكَ مِنْ صَفْرَاءَ وَلَا بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا ثَمَانِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ أَوْ سَبْعَ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ كَانَ أَعَدَّهَا لِخَادِمٍ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذِهِ الْأَلْفَاظِ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهَا إِلَّا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَالِحٌ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ غَيْرُ سُكَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلَهُ وَلَا يُدْرِكُهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَبْعَثُهُ فِي السَّرِيَّةِ جِبْرِيلُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكَ مِنْ صَفْرَاءَ وَلَا بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا ثَمَانِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ أَوْ سَبْعَ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ كَانَ أَعَدَّهَا لِخَادِمٍ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذِهِ الْأَلْفَاظِ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهَا إِلَّا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَالِحٌ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ غَيْرُ سُكَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ

Sukain said: A man - whom he named - narrated to me, and he said: "And in it (that night), the repentance of the Children of Israel was accepted." Then he returned to the hadith of Hafs ibn Khalid, saying: "By Allah, no one who came before him surpassed him, and no one who comes after him will reach him. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to send him on military expeditions with Jibril on his right and Mika'il on his left. By Allah, he did not leave behind any gold or silver except seven or eight hundred dirhams which he had prepared for a servant." This hadith with these wordings - we do not know of anyone who narrates them except al-Hasan ibn Ali with this chain, and its chain is acceptable. We do not know of anyone who narrates from Hafs ibn Khalid other than Sukain ibn Abd al-Aziz.
