أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ثنا أَبُو أُمَامَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا أُكْرِي مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَكَانَ النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَكَ حَجٌّ فَلَقِيتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أُكْرِي فِي هَذِهِ الْأَوْجُهِ وَإِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَقُولُونَ لِي إِنَّهُ لَكَ حَجٌّ فَقَالَ أَلَسْتَ تُحْرِمُ وَتُلَبِّي وَتَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ وَتُفِيضُ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ وَتَرْمِي الْجِمَارَ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ حَجًّا جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ مِثْلِ مَا سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْهُ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ} [البقرة 198] فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَكَ حَجٌّ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Umamah al-Taymi said: 'I was a man who used to hire out my services for these journeys, and people would say: You have no valid Hajj. So I met Ibn Umar and said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, I am a man who hires himself out on these journeys, and people tell me my Hajj is not valid. He said: Do you not enter ihram, recite the talbiyah, perform tawaf around the House, march from Arafat, and stone the Jamarat? I said: Indeed I do. He said: Then you have a valid Hajj. A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and asked him the same thing you asked me. The Messenger of Allah was silent and did not answer him until this verse was revealed: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord" [al-Baqarah 2:198]. So the Messenger of Allah sent for him and recited this verse to him and said: You have a valid Hajj.'
