أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الدَّقَّاقُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثنا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثنا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَسْلَمَ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ يَأْمُرُهُمْ فَلْيَصُومُوا هَذَا الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ مَا أَرَى آتِيَهُمْ حَتَّى يَطْعَمُوا قَالَ مَنْ طَعِمَ مِنْهُمْ فَلْيَصُمْ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Adi ibn Hatim said: When the verse was revealed — 'Eat and drink until the white thread becomes distinct from the black thread of dawn' — I took a white string and a black string and placed them under my pillow. I kept looking at them during the night but could not distinguish them. So I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and mentioned that to him. He said: 'That refers to the blackness of the night and the whiteness of the dawn.'
